This could be a brilliant viral for Apple's iPhone/iTouch or could just be the way The Mentalists roll.

An excellent music video that aired briefly on MTV in 1994 and soon became largely forgotten. This one was filmed in B&W to produce an old-timey ambience that works very well with the ragtime sound. Pay close attention to the continuity. The whole video was filmed with a steadycam, in one continuous shot... an unbelievably difficult task that only someone like Michel Gondry could pull off.
Thanks Jeremy S.
Looks delicious!

Cupcakes are so wonderful and versatile, aren't they? These are vanilla cuppies with a chocolate cuppie in between, green coconut for the lettuce and frosting for the mustard and ketchup! I used a bit of fresh orange juice to brush the tops so the sesame seeds would stick!

A new TV ad made using 200 camcorders has landed itself a Guinness World Record.
The commercial for Toshiba's range of HD products was shot using the "bullet-time" technique, as seen in sci-fi movie The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves.
The technique freezes the shot, while circling the freeze-frame.
The advert was filmed using a custom-built, 360-degree rig of Toshiba Gigashot handheld cameras.
The shoot used up 20,000Gb of hard disk space and took over 336 hours for computers to process.
Those stats helped earn it a world record for incorporating the most moving image cameras used in a composite film shot.

Georgia Max Coffee chose to redesign the toilets of a number of key ski resorts in Japan. The cubicles were fully wrapped on all sides, so that the person caught short would have a ski jumper’s view when they were sitting on the loo. The person could look down at their skis (simply printed on the floor of the cubicle) and see the steep ski jump slope ahead of them. The toilet paper holder carried the only brand messaging in the cubicle, reading: “Seriously kick-ass intensely sweet for the real coffee super zinging unstoppable Max! Taste-explosion!” The message also featured the URL www.maxcoffee.jp, where visitors could view videos of extreme sports as well as sign up to the MAX community.

Okay, this isn't a comic BOOK character, but it is an Irish-centric comic character ....from a sitcom. Father Jack Hackett from the absolutely fantastic comedy series Father Ted.
This series wouldn't be well known to anyone outside Ireland or the UK but it is without a doubt the best thing to come out of Ireland, and i include myself in that. No point in ranting on about it, but i will link to a couple of clips, just cuz i think it's so feckin' great. Here's a short clip as a taste and a slightly longer scene (filmed in my home town!). I sure know how i'm celebrating today; watching some classic Ted episodes.... and maybe havin' a couple o' pints o' cider.

Beverley Burkitt, 45, who has dwarfism, became lost in dense forest while walking with her tiny dog Pebbles on Sunday.
The alarm was raised but she had not been found when night fell, so she lay on the floor and cuddled the dog to keep herself warm.
A search party found her the next morning and rescuers said the dog had saved her from getting hypothermia.
Mum-of-one Beverley said: "Pebbles lay across my legs overnight and kept me warm.
"I wasn't too worried because I knew I would be found sooner or later.
"I'm very thankful to everyone who came out to look for me."
Beverley and her daughter, 15, were staying at a pony trekking centre at Dolwyddelan, North Wales, when she went missing.
She told rescuers that she strayed into woodland and then dropped her mobile phone.
A helicopter with heat-seeking cameras was launched and search parties on the ground scoured the area.
But it was not until the next day that she was found after her mobile phone was discovered on a path.
Asthma sufferer Beverley, of Colwyn Bay, North Wales, was found still snuggling up to the long-haired black and white chihuahua.
She was unharmed and allowed home.
Chris Lloyd, of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue, said: "She went for a walk at 10am with her little dog and walked into the forest where she dropped her mobile phone.
"She realised she was lost and just waited.
"Luckily it was quite a mild night and she had her dog to keep her warm."

PadMapper is a web application that makes it easy to browse through and pick out apartment and house rental listings that you want to follow up on. It is made by TopHat Monkey Software (pop:1). Instead of having a big list and then using a map as a helper for the list, like most of the real estate sites, I threw out the list and gave the map as much room as possible.
