The Penny Dreadful Covers Of Carter Brown Novels

The Penny Dreadful Covers Of Carter Brown

A collection of titillating paperback covers.

Australian writer Alan G. Yates wrote about 150 crime stories under the pseudonym of Carter Brown. The sales were in the millions of copies, no doubt in part to the wonderful pin-up style cover illustrations by Robert McGinnis. Some of the titles and plot subtexts are hilarious.
